Mohit Kumar Singh, a proud son of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, is the founder of Youwe Fashion, established in 2017, and the visionary behind the newly launched Brand Media Motion. His entrepreneurial journey is one of resilience, dedication, and a burning passion to succeed against the odds.
Early Life and Struggles
Born into a middle-class family, Mohit was a sharp thinker, especially in math, but struggled academically. He passed 10th grade in 2002 with a third division and failed his first attempt at 12th in 2004. However, determined to turn things around, Mohit cleared 12th with the PCM group in 2005 with a second division. He then got admission to the Computer Science branch at Arms Engineering College, Bareilly, but due to college politics and alleged short attendance, he was rusticated in his second year.
Unfazed, Mohit restarted his engineering journey in 2007, this time in the Information Technology branch, and graduated with an impressive 84% in 2011. His final exam day marked a trip to Vaishnodevi with his close friends, a symbol of his unwavering faith and optimism.
Career Beginnings
Mohit began his professional career in 2011 with Sify Technologies in the networking field. His skills and performance quickly impressed his manager, who selected him for the CBS project of the Department of Posts. However, despite his professional success, his father was not satisfied with Mohit working in the private sector. The turning point came when Mohit's request for a two-day Diwali leave was denied, leading him to quit his job. This decision sparked the realization that working under someone wasn’t his path, and though he considered a government job, his entrepreneurial spirit was ever-present, perhaps influenced by his mother's background in shoe manufacturing.
The Entrepreneurial Leap
After a few attempts at government jobs, including qualifying for SSC CGL pre-exam twice and attending five Bank PO interviews, Mohit realized it wasn’t his destiny. A friend’s advice prompted him to move to Pune to explore business opportunities. However, the distance from Bareilly weighed heavily on his parents. In 2017, he made the bold decision to start his own venture in Bareilly, and Youwe Fashion was born in September of that year.
Youwe Fashion and Beyond
Youwe Fashion quickly became a prominent name in the corporate promotional t-shirt industry. With his expertise in digital marketing and an eye for quality, Mohit secured major clients like Domino’s, Zomato, and Airtel. In 2018, Mohit married, and in December 2019, on Christmas Day, he became a proud father to a beautiful daughter, Ishu (Ishaani), named in honor of Lord Isha Masseh.
Brand Media Motion: The Next Chapter
With his success at Youwe Fashion, Mohit is now set to launch his new venture, Brand Media Motion. This brand aims to offer complete branding solutions, including digital marketing, public relations, corporate uniforms, and corporate gifting. It’s another chapter in Mohit’s unstoppable journey, and with his track record of resilience and success, Brand Media Motion is poised to make a big impact in the world of branding and marketing.
